This was a fast paced interesting read for a mystery lover. The odd twist and turn kept me turning the pages well after I should have turned off the light. Although not a long book it was fast paced and enjoyable.

I found this a good summer read . It was easy to pick up for a few moments of intense reading whenever the chance came. Good writing and descriptive encounters between the characters. Very true to the time and place.

I personally like the Alex Delaware character and have followed him through many of Kellerman's stories. This was a fast paced read but the ending wasn't as good as other novels........ I felt a little let down when I finally turned the last page.

Action, adventure and history all thrown together into one book. If you enjoy W.E.
B. Griffin you will enjoy this book as the writing style is similar.

I enjoyed reading about the history and early settlement of New Brunswick and this personal story of a young woman who tended to be the proverbial square peg in a round hole. She overcomes so many challenges that one pauses to wonder what you might have done in the same circumstances. Not a dry dusty biography but an adventure and celebration of a woman's life written by one of her many great great great (and perhaps even one more great) granddaughters who researched this bio. through many sources not excluding stories told around the table at many family get-togethers.I enjoyed reading about the history and early settlement of New Brunswick and this personal story of a young woman who tended to be the proverbial square peg in a round hole. I liked this audio book. Ms. Bertinelli was very forthcoming with her life challenges. Her reading her own words added to the charm.

The trials of an upper crust woman who marries someone of slightly lower station in life. Immigration, failure of business ventures, looking for anyway to meet the families basic needs once children are on the scene, are all things thrown at this upper crust belle who I must admit does an admirable job of dealing with whatever life throws her way with that English "stiff upper lip" and "get on with it " atitude. Written by her son, who I see on the author bio. lives in British Columbia, I found this a very good story and an enjoyable read. The trials of an upper crust woman who marries someone of slightly lower station in life. This is a quick read chick lit style with some wonderful quirky language. The whole novel is written in the style of emails between a woman and her lover who of course has abandoned her. She wants to know why and begins by beating herself up over the breakup of the relationship. As the story progresses she becomes empowered enough to realize it isn't her fault.......and her lover has used her. Old story but new twists and turns. If you enjoy Phillippa Gregory books - the Othery Boleyn springs to mind, you will be entertained by this non fiction account of Jane Boleyn. I've read many books about the life and times of Henry VIII and his wives and so found this account of someone within the inner circle but not one of the main characters, an interesting read. I found myself forgetting this was a non-fiction book at many points meaning it doesn't read like a dull history tome.If you enjoy Phillippa Gregory books - the Othery Boleyn springs to mind, you will be entertained by this non fiction account of Jane Boleyn. I personally loved this book and how it gripped me to the story of these unfortunate young women. Much has appeared on the media lately but it is still an unknown crime to many of us. I found while reading this that I forgot it was a fiction book and would have thought it was a non-fiction item.
