I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the look into Kashmir in 1942 and the making of the shawls. A great summer read.

Romance Novel of the Year Association Winner 2012
In the first couple of chapters I was laughing out loud. Very witty. Not sure if it is my number one pick this year, but as a summer read it was perfect

Interesting idea. Our bookclub had a fabulous discussion over the benefits of this drug coming to market. Never having to experience menopause is journey worth considering. I think it this is the first of a few as it could carry on into another book. Time will tell.Interesting idea. Our bookclub had a fabulous discussion over the benefits of this drug coming to market. If this book is ever flipped into a film, Tim Burton should Direct. Johnny Depp as Chandresh and Helena Bonham-Carter as Isobel (if he has to cast them again!). If you like Tim Burton then I think you will like this book.

Richard & Judy who are two show hosts from the UK recommended this book via their talk show book club. I loved it. It has twists and turns and the ending is the definition of "irony" Recommend.

Romance Novel Award Shortlisted 2011. This book won the Romantic Comedy Prize 2011. It is a "Bridget Jones" read with lots of laughs. I could not put it down. Lots of dialogue and very little waffle. Great summer/beach read.

This is a very well written book. The interview with Rainer is so thought provoking and worth reading out loud as it captures the peril of so many victims of the World Wars. It is a passage I will read again. I would recommend this book highly to the historical fiction lovers. This is a very well written book. I just loved this book. It's dark, very well written and it is constructed beautifully. I look for the foreign authors to give me a book outside of the main stream plots and this book completely satisfies my quest. I have not read his other book and based on the reviews, I will wait a few months (if I can) to read The Shadow of the Wind. I highly recommend this book and hope it flips into a movie. I live in Ottawa and was excited to see our beautiful city come to life in a book. Lot's of "I've been there" and "I used to live in that area". It's a mystery and ok.
