Random story of a journalist and "his attorney" having a crazy time in Las Vegas. This is one of those books like Brett Easton Ellis books not necessarily amazing but known for their subversive story lines.

Ignore the movies and read this book. Some laugh out loud moments .
There will always be a certain amount of rambling in a Hunter Thompson book but it's worth sifting through.
Heavy on the drugs but even if you don't enjoy drug humor…

Heart that Johnny Depp's performance in Rango is an homage to Hunter S. Thompson as Depp played him in the film version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Definite resemblence between Rango and the cover art on the book!
