Wonderful movie and brought back good memories of 1973; I witnessed all 3 triple crown races in person. Didn't make much money, though because the odds were lousy. But there aren't many of us left who saw all 3 races in person!

I saw Secretariat run on TV the day he ran. It was mind blowing. I also saw his statue in the Kentucky Horse Park. I lived in Lexington at the time. We used to sleep with the windows open in the warmer weather and wake up to the horses…

There will always be a 'hidden-gift' in everyone of us... just listen to it; a powerful evidence of true communication, even between human and animals, it's just great to see one in this movie!

I enjoyed this movie! Fabulous camera shots of the horse running! Beautiful horses used in the making of this film. Interesting story showing the belief the owner had in her horse and her trainer and rider!

Pretty typical underdog triumph movie. Well written and acted enough that the predictable story isn't a bother. I liked that it didn't have grating subplots up the wazoo to add "dramatic tension" because it honestly didn't need them.
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!
I think this is for ages 10 and up, this is definitely not a horror film and would be fun to watch with family and friends. My favorite character in the film is Edie because his is a very caring person…
Well, I sure enjoyed it, and I was on the edge of my seat, even though I knew the outcome. This all happened in my horse crazy teenage days, I probably still have a news clipping about Secretariat, stuffed in a scrap book somewhere. I…

Sentimental but very well done account of career of the great racehorse. The film glosses over some historical facts (for example, there is no mention of 1972 Derby winner Riva Ridge, also from the Chenery stables) but does an excellent…
This movie is amazing. In another movie Seabiscut- it's also about racing but the horse has a bad accident. It also has some stuff that shouldn't have been in it. But this movie is perfectly ok for almost everyone other that some mild…

Taking a story about horse racing, even about a well-known horse, and successfully made a sentimental movie without relying on any other dramatic event, it's a excellent accomplishment.

Fine story, well-financed production and an A-list cast (the stellar Malkovich and yummy Diane Lane, a good actress). Still, this movie's hampered by a very poor script, 2-dimensional characters and lackadaisical production standards.
In…

This is a great movie!! A little too sad with her (Penny Tweedy's) mom and dad dying. But the ending was AWESOME!!! Even though I knew the ending it was so suspenseful!!
