This book was a fun ride. Good character development and story line - more developed than the Jack Reacher stories. Some funny dialogue and quite a bit of action but not over the top. If you like the Jack Reacher books you will probably…

This was a solid, gritty mystery and a intriguing introduction to Quinn Colson. Definitely a much hasher and darker mystery than I personally prefer, but the characters of Quinn and his family and friends will have me back for book two in…

Good beginning for this new series. The small town Mississippi setting is certainly less than idlyic and the characters are not quite as stereotypical as they first appear. Look forward to the next book to see how things develop.

Atkins has written some interesting books, but this novel is disappointing, little more than a Hollywood-ready good old boy action story.
