Took me a long time to finish, but totally worth it. There's so much happening in this book and the character's personalities are so nicely defined the book becomes so real.

The latest film adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' iconic The Three Musketeers opens October 21, 2011. Paul W.S. Anderson directs a cast including Milla Jovovich, Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz.

Ashamed to admit that I was so caught up in the "squash-buckeling", "plumed hat" imagry that it took me awhile to get around to this. I so loved The Count of Monte Cristo and I gave this a whirl and it is WONDERFUL! Definitely read it if you haven't already. Such a fabulous book. Despite the heft of the novel, I've read it in as little as three days. I've also read it 4 different time! If there were more authors like Dumas, I would never get anything done!
