The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
Internationally reknown oceanographer Steve Zissou and his crew - Team Zissou - set sail on an expedition to hunt down the mysterious, always elusive, possibly non-existant Jaguar Shark that supposedly killed Zissou's partner during the documentary filming of their latest adventure. On this journey, Steve's crew are joined by a young airline co-pilot, who may or may not be Zissou's son, a beautiful journalist who has been assigned to write a profile of Zissou, and Eleanor, Zissou's estranged wife and co-producer. They face overwhelming complications including pirates, kidnapping, and bankruptcy.

An unbelievably dry and awkward movie. Few laughs and without a point for me. Just strange.

A terrible movie but don't take my word for it.

I would rate this with a minus number if I could. It is astonishing to me that Bill Murray is still working in movies.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen!

seriously lame! Who would have thought such an ensemble of stars would produce such a limp rag of a movie.

I find it very difficult to talk about this film intelligently or coherently. This ranks in the absolute highest echelon of my favorite films, the level at which watching them reduces me to feeling like a child experiencing pure joy, wonder, and raw emotion. It hits that indelible blend of imagery, editing, music, and humanity that connects on such a deeply personal level that I simply do not know how to communicate to others what I love so much about it. So I don’t know what else to say other than I adore this film to the deepest reaches of my being.

With such an abundance of well known actors and based on the reviews, I expected much more than this load of rubbish. Watched about 30 minutes before deciding it was a waste of my time. Dull and boring.

Classic Wes Anderson: intelligent humor that surprises. Fun animation. Beautiful visuals. Memorable characters well acted. Very much enjoyed this film!

This is one of my favorite films. It is unlike anything else I have ever seen, and Willem Dafoe's performance alone is worth watching. Although the humour is dry, it is one of the funniest movies I have seen, without resorting to the standard gross-out or crude humour so often used in new comedy, and it also has some of the most stunning imagery I have seen on film. I can honestly say this is the only film I have ever watched, and then immediately rewatched.
