Item Details

Ripley is recovering from her first encounter with the deadly alien. Her account of that event is received with skepticism, but transmissions from a colony later established on the alien's planet abruptly cease. Burke, an up-and-coming company man, talks Ripley into going back with a squad of colonial Marines. Of course the Marines do not take her warnings seriously either, until they come face-to-face with the awesome alien spawn.

Best Alien movie of all of them!
Not only a great film and colossal sequel (still can't believe how good the first one was), but the one film, even though SF and in the future, and co-ed, most representative of small combat team experience in the Viet Nam War - - Cameron really nails it! And Sigourney Weaver rocks! Is it (a) In space, no one can hear you fart. or (b) In space, no one can hear you scream like a little girl?

"Hey Vasquez. Have you ever been mistaken for a man?" "No, have you?"

who thinks this is the best alien move out of them all?

Unwatchable foolishness.
Much worse than the dismal original.

There are no scantily clad women waiting to be rescued by men in this film! Females are portrayed and viewed by other characters as capable, strong, and intelligent. Add great casting, plot, and witty dialogue and Aliens continues to be one of the best movies ever made.

Without a doubt one of my favorite science fiction horror movies. I enjoyed the EXTENDED VERSION of this film. It shows what happened to the little girl's family before the marines and Ripley find her. One of my favorite scenes for sound is when the robotic mini guns are palced in a corridor and began firing at the aliens trying to gain entry. The sound they make is OFF THE HOOK!!!!. This movie should be played on your HOMETHEATER!!! There are scenes that are definately "Sound Freak" worthy you will enjoy. I watched both version and prefer the extended version. I'm giving this space horror movie 5 stars!!!!! Very good story, very good visual effects, very good audio effects, love the mother alien, and a very good cast. A very large home made hamburger, whole wheat bread, ketchup, mustard, sliced pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and french fries with coke.

Alas, this isn't the great, taut version released to theaters in 1986, but a later expanded version. It contains 17 extra minutes of footage. It is amazing how dramatically the extra footage slows down the movie. We get unnecessary exposition, suspense-killing scenes, and lots of awkward dialog. There was surely good reason that this footage was excised. Avoid this 2004 version and try to get the original release, which is a much better movie.

Plot-holes the size of an asteroid. Totally unbelievable. Maybe I missed the band wagon, but I wasn't impressed with this at all.

A nearly perfect sci-fi movie. The action is great. The suspense is great. Quite different than the first film, but a serious must watch for any sci-fi fan.
