Mr. and Mrs. Fox live a happy home life underground with their eccentric son Ash. Mr. Fox works as a journalist, but against the advice of Badger, his attorney, he moves his family into a larger and finer home inside a tree on a hill. The treehouse has an excellent view of the nearby farms of Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. This movie is cussing awesome!

I love Wes Anderson films and wasn't disappointed. It's a super cute film that's probably best suited for slightly older people as the moral is slightly hazy but in total it was cute quirky and light hearted without being childish.

They say "cuss" in the places they would curse in adult movies. (To teach kids where to say the cuss words?) Animated, but NOT appropriate for children at all.
Reinforces bad habits such as lying and other poor choices. Disappointed to find this in kids section. Glad I previewed this w/o kids present.

Definitely a front runner for 'Strangest Family Film I've Ever Seen'. Wes Anderson's 'Fantastic Mr. Fox'. is different from any family film I've seen because the whole thing plays like Mission Impossible if it the cast was comprised of the Animals of Farthing Wood. George Clooney is plays Mr. Fox much like how he played Ulysses Everett McGill in 'Oh, Brother! Where Art Thou?', Meryl Streep is by far the best performance in the whole movie as Mrs. Fox, tough and cunning while also remaining loyal and loving. Bill Murray (who has been in every single Wes Anderson film except 'Bottle Rocket') plays Badgerwith vigourous zeal, Jason Schwartzman as the eccentric son Ash provides the most laughs. Certainly a strange film for the family, but I would recommend it all the same. It has lovable characters, wonderful art direction and enough wit to charm a smile out of even the most stone faced of sour pusses.

This was a funny movie, and I'm definitely giving it 5/5 stars. The plot, and storytelling was well put,Also for the fact there was a lesson behind it all:Anyone as a creative being can still be "FANTASTIC!" ("Whistle, Click, Click!")-Trademark.

I loved it. Clever, wry wit. Impressive stop-motion animation -- stiff at times, but undoubtedly intentionally so, and amazing nonetheless. The animals eyes were so expressive; their fur looked real, and the haggard humans were so cussing lifelike it was spooky. Voice actors, quirky score, landscapes... A winner from director Wes Anderson. Fantastic. FIVE STARS.

This was the final film I watched in director Wes Anderson's filmography. I found it very entertaining and it was fun to spot his directorial tendencies in this animated feature (like the use of binoculars as a camera angle, titles for scenes, motorcycle with a sidecar, etc.). As a fan of the old Rankin/Bass films, I really enjoyed it.

All in all, I tend to agree with Rufus_red4's review except I do think kids would enjoy it (unless they're hopped up on sugar and used to being plopped in front of SpongeBob for eight hours a day).

Very quirky and painless but not exceptional. The stop action animation is endearing, being a child who grew up with 'Frosty the Snowman' and 'David and Goliath' but it's a slightly clunky technique. I have never read the book it's based on but the characters are a bit mundane in their personalities and frankly, it felt a lot longer than the barely 90 minute running time, I fell asleep several times during. I also don't think kids are going to like it.

Boggis and Bunce and Bean. One fat, one short, one lean. These horrible crooks, so different in looks, were nonetheless equally mean.
