I liked the style this book was written in and will be checking out some other titles by the author. Mostly interesting and full of quite a bit of humor. I guess you might call this fantasy...dark fantasy...comedic fantasy...did get a little wishy washy toward the end, but was a very fast enjoyable read.

Monster starts off pretty good. but it kind of goes downhill as the story goes on. It's almost as if he had a different story to tell s he started, but then let it follow a different turn and just wasn't able to get it back on track again. Monster was the first A Lee Martinez book I had ever read. It had my interest enough to look into other books of his and I'm glad I did. Most of his other books are MUCH better than Monster. Given that, This book is a good gateway to his other stuff.
