Elliott and Lucy are inspired to be green after attending an assembly. There they meet Matt and Stephanie who were running around the whole of North America to raise a million dollars for the planet. They challenge the children to make small changes in their homes and environment. Each chapter has a different topic: recycle, take bags to the grocery store, walk instead of drive when possible, spend time with people instead of buying them more stuff, and conserve water and heat. Suggestions on what you can do to improve the environment are at the end of each chapter including ideas like changing the temperature in your home based on your activities.
