An astonishing world where toys play while their owners are away. Woody is a pull-string cowboy doll and is the leader of the toys until the latest, greatest action figure, Buzz Lightyear, enters the picture. When the toy rivals are separated from their owner, they learn to put aside their differences and work as a team to get back home to the boy they love.

Director and script writer John Lasseter is amazing. He comes up with characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Mr. Potato Head. Having the voice of Mr. Potato head be Don Rickles is a personal favorite of mine. "Toy Story" has fascinated millions of kids and adults since it came out. It will go down in cartoon history as one of the Best Five Star Cartoon Features of All Time. Congratulations Pixar Studios on a job well done!

Toy Story is a good movie and, frankly, the series gets better in the sequels. One of the few movie franchises that does that.

When you were a kid, did you ever wonder why your favorite toys weren’t exactly where you put them? Disney's Toy Story answers that question in the first of 3 clever adventures for Andy's favorite toys. Woody was Andy's favorite toy, a pull string rag doll from years ago. Then Andy gets a Buzz Lightyear for a gift, and Woody gets competition for Andy’s attention from an action figure that thinks he’s real. And the adventure escalates when both get lost and end up in the house of a neighborhood kid, who is well known for destroying toys.

With his family moving home one week before his birthday, the toys stage a reconnaissance mission to discover Andy's new presents. Andy receives a space ranger Buzz Lightyear action figure, whose impressive features see him replacing Woody as Andy's favorite toy. Woody is resentful, especially as Buzz also gets attention from the other toys. However Buzz believes himself to be a real space ranger on a mission to return to his home planet, as Woody fails to convince him he is a toy.
