This book is great no matter how old you are! A Dr Seuss classic, this book speaks of life's balancing act and encourages readers to have a positive attitude.

I read this book to my 15 month old son every night, and secretly read it to myself when Im feeling down!

This book is a great closure book to use in a human services practice (eg, child and youth care, social work, counselling). I used it in my child and youth care class as a closure activity with my classmates as we graduate. Excellent read for ALL ages. That's why I love Dr. Seuss.

Found yourself in a fix? Feeling down and blue? Well, this is the book for you! Dr. Seuss's magnificent play of words brought to life a masterpiece in both classic and contemporary poetry. This book can motivate anyone who has come across it and yes, not just kids but teens and adults alike. Go to the library, check it out and be inspired for life!

Typically this book makes a great graduation gift, be it high school, college or some other similar milestone. It easily speaks to those who are setting sail out into the world. I read this book for the first time many years after I last graduated from anything so it's a testament to this timeless story that I was surprised how much Oh, The Places You'll Go was relevant to my life at present.

As I write this review I am currently unemployed during the Great Recession. I'm optimistic for the future but, to borrow from the book, I've come down from the Lurch and now I'm in a Slump. This is not a fun place to be though I'm sure it will define me for the rest of my life, good or bad.

If you're thinking about giving this book as a gift, and you should, don't forget to read it again yourself. You'll be surprised how much it's speaking to you now.

NOT just for children. It's a wonderful story/gift for high school, college or university graduates.
It's so accurate and truthful but told in an "easy to take" way.
I love Dr. Seuss, and this book is one of the reasons why.

Inspirational words to live by, perhaps of greatest interest to travellers, risk-takers, and adventurers.

My most favorite Dr. Seuss. Highly recommended for adults in a slump, or any children trying to go down any not so good street.

My daughter used some of this in her valedictorian speech. No plagiarism involved she gave the Dr. credit!!!

I love the rhyme in this book and what a great message for older kids too. I have bought this as a gift for my son when he completes school this year.

On and on you will hike. And I know you'll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are.

Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find,
For a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
