Dr. Antonio Barrenechea, Professor of English at the University of Mary Washington and a Lang Fellow at Rare Book School at the University of Virginia, joins us live from UMW’s Special Collections. He shall discuss George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel 1984 (1949) and its appearance as a British first edition in the immediate aftermath of World War II.
