Author Bio

David Anthony Sam lives in Virginia with his wife, Linda. His poetry has appeared in over 100 journals. His collection, Writing the Significant Soil, was awarded the 2021 Poetry Prize by Homebound Publications. Seven other collections are in print including Geographies of the Dead (2024), Stone Bird (2023) and Dark Fathers (2019). Sam teaches creative writing at Germanna Community College and serves as President of the Poetry Society of Virginia.
