Lunch & Learn: Understanding End-of-Life Doula Care

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Description

Explore the unique role of an end-of-life doula, a non-medical professional who provides compassionate presence and holistic support to individuals and families navigating the final stages of life. Whether death comes gradually through illness or unexpectedly through crisis, end-of-life doulas offer emotional, spiritual, and practical care that helps ease the journey. This session will introduce what doulas do, how they complement medical and hospice care, and the value of early planning. You’ll walk away with insight, resources, and conversation tools that empower you and your loved ones to approach the end of life with clarity, dignity, and peace. Presented by INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association) trained volunteer Sheila Miller.
