Bark George is one of my all time favorite books to read aloud with preschoolers and early elementary schoolers. The humor is perfect for that age group.

George's mom just wants him to bark like a dog but ends up making all of these other animal sounds! Find out why in this hilarious and classic read!

So much fun to read all the different animal sounds. And children love to help make those sounds! They don't all understand the joke at the end, but that doesn't stop them from enjoying the book anyway!

This is one of my all-time favorite read-aloud books for storytime! Children will quickly catch on to the pattern and will be delighted to predict what happens next. The ending leaves room for excellent speculation.

My little one loves this book because of the fun animal noises, just like he loves Old McDonald Had a Farm. I still want to know how this little puppy can eat a (SPOILER) WHOLE COW!

A must read for all ages! After reading this book, and recovering from laughing, I began making animal sounds to my 4 year old grandchildren. More fun than saying words! Good book to read if you are down in the dumps.

To quote one of my students, "This is a very, very, VERY silly story." True. I like the gradual mental breakdown that George's mother has. :)
