S.E. Hinton’s sophomore novel That Was Then, This Is Now follows two teenage boys; Mark and Bryon, who have shared a brotherly bond since childhood, yet through a mix of circumstance and troubles, they find their relationship…

The Outsiders is one of my go-to books when I have a bad day, the emotions of the characters are so relatable. This one just made me want to kill it. The ending is fitting but very irritating.

I really enjoyed this book because it was another perspective quite like "The Outsiders" but in this book we got a lot more details on the character's personal lives and it was a lot about drugs, to be honest, and got kind of boring…

It's hard to think that this book would lie more depressing than The Outsiders but it is. It deals with 1960s Oklahoma (I think) and fights, class warfare, poverty and drugs. The ending kind of reminds me of the ending of the Wire, no real…

This is the first chapter book that I read from cover to cover. For that reason alone, it is memorable to me.

I absolutely loved 'The Outsiders' so I decided to read so of S. E. Hinton's other work. This book made me glad I did. Mark and Bryon are characters that feel so real. I love how Hinton's characters from her books appear in her other…

I thought that since I loved "The Outsiders" so much, I would start reading the author's other works, and boy am I impressed! This book was short and easy to read, but fantastic! As others have said, the ending is sad and will tug at your…

This book left me thinking about a lot of things as most amazing books do....Very insightful and genuine. S.E Hinton really is the voice of the youth. Unlike most people she isn't afraid to tell the truth about life.

This book is very sad, but very good. Whoever has read The Outsiders and liked it, this book is for you. ( Btw, very depressing ending, but, well, that's life!)

I honestly couldn't read more than one chapter because it was written way differently than Tex and The Outsiders. What I read was good, but not The Outsiders good.

This book is epic!!!!! Kept me awake the whole night thinking about this book. It was intense all the way through and it's a very very good combination of humour, action and of course, romance. The romance in this book was amazing and I…
