Another memoir from Hanff that gives us some background on her life and her lifelong interest in reading. I found this amusing in spots and well written like her two other books that I've read. Her diary of her return trips to London and meeting old and new friends was particularly interesting.
This is a memoir of how Hanff came to love classic books, writing her "goofy" letters to Frank Doel at Marks & Co, and all of the fame and adventure that "84, Charing Cross Road" brought to her. She is as charming in this book as she was in "84, Charing Cross Road."
