It is November. When Meg comes home from school, Charles Wallace tells her he saw dragons in the twin's vegetable garden. That night Meg, Calvin and C.W. go to the vegetable garden to meet the Teacher (Blajeny) who explains that what they are seeing isn't a dragon at all, but a cherubim named Proginoskes. It turns out that C.W. is ill and that Blajeny and Proginoskes are there to make him well - by making him well, they will keep the balance of the universe in check and save it from the evil Echthros. Meg, Calvin and Mr. Jenkins (grade school principal) must travel inside C.W. to have this battle and save Charles' life as well as the balance of the universe.

My son and I just finished reading the book out loud. Make sure you look up the words you don't know. Adds so much more understanding. It had a good message that all kids should hear. Lovely book.

I can't really compare "A Wrinkle a time"to this book ! Both the best book I ever read. Seriously, I reread them 3 times already!!!My favorite is always the ending part (last 7 page) for some reason...

Good book, enjoyable story & very creative. I did, however, enjoy A Wrinkle In Time more than this. I think i had a hard time with the microscopic level when they could not see but only feel. For some reason it was hard to picture as it was devoid of any kind of description due to the nature of the situation. Still a great book. 3.5 stars

Not sure why A Wrinkle In Time (admittedly a great book) gets so much more attention than this one, which I found much more engaging.
