Another memory from when I was younger. The mummy was scary to me as a child but looking back, the movie is more enjoyable. The story consists of 2 factions trying to find a lost treasure in Egypt only to wake up a mummy dead for 3000 years that brings upon the 10 plagues of Egypt. The plot thickens as you realize the mistakes of the characters, the overall story is light hearted with comedic effect thrown in and a bit of romance between some characters, at times for the younger audience it does get scary since there is an undead creature created with effective CGI. Overall I rate the movie 4/5 and recommend this movie to anyone interested in adventure movies or a fan of the classic horror monsters such as Frankenstein or the Invisible man. @selfhelpguru of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Not scary (after all, you're just twiddling your thumbs, waiting for someone to read Page 132, Paragraph 12, Lines 6 through 10) but thoroughly enjoyable. Brendan Fraser is a RIOT! And John Hannah as the helpless brother nearly steals every scene. Enjoy!

Classic fun film !!! Rachael Wiez is always amazing and lovable

As far as I'm concerned, this is the definitive take on The Mummy, even if it is more of an action movie than a horror one.

Love this fun, action film which takes one on a wild ride in Egypt!! I have viewed it several times. Brendan Fraser well cast. Many favorite, entertaining actors especially Oded Fehr (Resident Evil), Rachel Weisz and Jonathan Hannah. Special effects great and some really creepy like the flesh-eating beetles. Cool that the fierce Mummy was afraid of a cat (hope that isn't a spoiler)!

Evelyn: Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am.
Rick: And what is that?
Evelyn: I... am a librarian.
