I loved the concept and quilt gallery. You have to be careful with fabric choices and he gives very little guidance about that. I thought that choosing light, medium, dark values would be enough to make a great quilt. However, I think you really need to choose a focus fabric, choose a fabric that matches the focus fabric's background and then choose two other fabrics that match the focus fabric's print. At least this is what my post-failure analysis of his quilt gallery told me. I did one quilt using the technique. The results are unpredictable enough that I doubt I'd do another. Sewing up the quilt is easy. Getting truly satisfying results is more difficult. He basically suggests that you get in and cut. I did and am pretty sad about it ;-).
