Despite the black flies there was no buzz in this thriller. We know whodunnit early and the plot is thin so Blunt drags out the pages by adding a voodoo villain and a mental health episode with Cardinal's wife.

Continued solid writing from Blunt. Recommend it. Also recommend the series be read in order, although that is not necessary.

Not Blunt's best, but Cardinal is Cardinal. Hopefully we get more from Blunt soon.
