This book has really great ideas that range from simple to advanced, so all ages can find cool things to make. Crafting using organic materials helps to educate children on ecosystems and historical activities, which I believe is important in this digital world.
I appreciate the knowledge that the author includes about protected wilderness and gathering materials, because sustainable practices and ideology should be taught early in childhood.
Many of the crafts gave me great ideas for Christmas gifts, especially things like natural paper to make cards, and twig baskets to keep candy in. I would imagine that people made homemade gifts like these before we had malls and amazon.
I find great joy in constructing beautiful and practical things from natural materials because it may be a useful skill next time I go camping. Organic Crafts is a perfect introduction to bushcraft and survival skills, as well as a refreshing new artform and sustainable thinking.-@outdoorsman14 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This book is great because it teaches children about the recycling world.
