In Jane Green's story of redemption, Kit, a single mother of two, works as an assistant for Robert McClore, an elderly and reclusive famous author, in Highfield, Connecticut, a small beach town. When Kit uncovers a juicy, long-hidden secret of her employer's, she debates between revealing the secret to the town's many rich, gossipy women or keeping it to herself. All the while, she must also deal with her estranged sister and distant mother.

** stars. The Dune Road of the title is the site of the home of a reclusive writer. The story revolves around a newly divorced woman and single mother who becomes the assistant to the author. There are a lot of people with hidden agendas. I found some of the story lines very predictable. A little too much of a soap opera for me. Can't recommend

Great book about renewing old friendships. Looking at our own lives to see if we want change and a second chance of love, friendship, job or just improving ourselves.
