Didn't find this as strong as Locomotion and while I was so happy to see how Lonnie grew, I admit, I disliked that it just ended. There was so much more I wanted to know about Lonnie and Lili. Still a good read though!

The sequel to "Locomotion". Lonnie and his sister Lili are a year older. Since they still live with separate foster families, Lonnie decides to write letters detailing their daily lives which he plans to keep so he can give them to Lili when she's grown up. Meanwhile, Lonnie's foster brother returns from war as an amputee. Despite their age and biological differences, they bond as brothers who have experienced great trauma and learn to live with it. This is a touching story that celebrates non-traditional sibling relationships.
