Review by Richard Paul (Seattle Public Library)
Stuart Woods: Lucid Intervals This novel is a great entertaining read and connects allot of the dots. Stone Barrington and Dino Bacchetti, eating late at Elaine’s, in walks Herbie Fisher with two million cash in a handbag! Carried: by his new girl Sheila. Shots are fired through the front window; everyone at Elaine’s’ are now on the floor. Herbie wants to retain Stone for $1,000,000.00 (dollars). Stone ends up declining the retainer but ends up trapped with Herbie as a client!! Felicity Devonshire Shows up in the midst of all this. She and Stone pick up where they left off. With allot of humor and funny situations. Many of Stuart Woods’s characters of the past novels make their final connection that explains their path of choices. Herbie saves the day and the British Government has to replace the Foreign Minister and the Home secretary. As one they planned to kill showed the two of them, the power of truth and exposure. ______ So then Mr. Woods, when does the big party start?? Richard Paul

I love Stuart Woods books but I haven't finished, or really gotten very far into a Stone Barrinton novel for a few years now. I think I'll give up on Stone and just read his other books.

Light reading; very enjoyable
dialogue with less emphasis on
sex - suspect he's maturing!

Stone Barrington is joined by the usual cast of characters. Usual Stone Barrington fare - ends rather abruptly.
