This may be considered a classic, but it is by far one of the most boring, dull difficult to read books I have ever read. It did not sell well in 1847 when it was written, I can see why. People a great deal more intelligent than I have deemed it a "classic". Just as Ahab wanted to beat the whale, I did not want Melville to beat me, so I finished every word of this book. Now I can say I read Moby Dick, and people will ask me. Why? lol

More than almost anyone would ever want to know about whales. One of the greatest books that I have ever read! This is a difficult book to work through, but the payoff in the end is worth it. You will not regret reading this book.
