Biff tells the untold story about his BFF, Jesus of Nazareth.
The birth of Jesus has been well chronicled, as have his glorious teachings, acts, and divine sacrifice after his thirtieth birthday. “I've tried to get the angel to watch MTV so I can learn the vocabulary of your music, but even with the gift of tongues, I'm having trouble learning to speak hip-hop. Why is it that one can busta rhyme or busta move anywhere but you must busta cap in someone's ass? Is "ho" always feminine, and "muthafucka" always masculine, while "bitch" can be either? How many peeps in a posse, how much booty before baby got back, do you have to be all that to get all up in that, and do I need to be dope and phat to be da bomb or can I just be "stupid"? I'll not be singing over any dead mothers until I understand.”
“If you have come to these pages for laughter, may you find it.
If you are here to be offended, may your ire rise and your blood boil.
If you seek an adventure, may this song sing you away to blissful escape.
If you need to test or confirm your beliefs, may you reach comfortable conclusions.
All books reveal perfection, by what they are or what they are not.

May you find perfection, and know it by name.”

One of my top 5 books of all time. This book will make you laugh out constantly; it will also make you think and ponder the story of Christianity. Just read it. You won't regret it.
Very funny!
Sept 3 2016, given to me to read by my sister (and she wants it back!) and not one I probably would have picked out on my own. Glad that she recommended it to me, it made me laugh, cringe, and ponder. I will check out more of this author's books. He definitely has a different mind bend!
This parody-novel grew on me after I got used to the 15-year old teenage boy humor that was leaking from every page. It was done well and still engaging and weirdly informative for someone who has forgotten a lot about some of the bible stories. For the religious and cynics alike, this is a fun tale. The audiobook was very good as well with Fisher Stevens narrating.
Great story about friendship and faith and the challenges of being the savior's best friend.
One of the funniest books I've ever read.
