My three year old son really likes this book, but I don't particularly. The first half is fine and seems to be setting up a "Ruby shares her chocolate chicken with Max" kind of ending. Then it gets really choppy and disjointed, and we're supposed to think that Max stealing Ruby's chocolate. chicken is a good thing? Presumably, since he's never scolded and does not apologize. Not my favourite.
