Entrepreneur Donald Trump, who owns and manages hotels and casinos and hosts TV show, summed it up nicely, saying: “It used to be that if you wanted a better job, you didn't think twice about padding your resume a little bit. Maybe you lied about a degree here and there or about playing on your college football team. But employers are getting wise— and worried — about those kinds of deceptions.and have increasingly hired special companies to do back ground checks before they ever get a job offer. What's the harm, you wonder, in a few minor deceptions? Those lies can come back to haunt you. Recently some inaccuracies have ruined the careers of executives at several organizations. This is serious stuff. …. After all, if you didn't think twice about lying on a job application, chances are you cheat in your day-to-day business dealings. Here's my advice. Don't lie.
