Half of me was thinking, Georgina, don't do this. Stealing a dog is just plain wrong. The other half of me was thinking, Georgina, you're in a bad fix and you got to do whatever it takes to get yourself out of it.

Georgina Hayes is desperate. Ever since her father left and they were evicted from their apartment, her family has been living in their car. With her mama juggling two jobs and trying to make enough money to find a place to live, Georgina is stuck looking after her younger brother, Toby. And she has her heart set on improving their situation. When Georgina spots a missing-dog poster with a reward of five hundred dollars, the solution to all her problems suddenly seems within reach. All she has to do is "borrow" the right dog and its owners are sure to offer a reward. What happens next is the last thing she expected.

I just love this book. It just goes to show that not everybody is as fortunate as we are. To those people out there who haven't read this yet, it is a book that really got to my heart and i am sure it will go to yours.

I really liked this book. It tells I should he greatful that I have a mom and a dad to take care of me. And I'm lucky to be living in a house not a car. This book told me that your sister and brother and your family is going to be there for you whenever you need them. And this book also tells that what happens if do something bad that you know its bad and you still do it

I found this book very enjoyable to read. It reminded me of when I used to sneak around my own neighborhood with my little brother, plotting all sorts of things that usually resulted in the extreme annoyance of one of our neighbors and me being grounded. O'Connor really does understand the scheming mind of the eleven-year-old girl.

A bit boring at parts, but the author did a very good job of telling the story.
