Loosely based on her actual first-hand account, depicts the final ten days of Nazi Germany as seen through the eyes of Hitler's then-secretary Gertraud (Traudl) Junge. Joining Hitler and his inner circle at their bunker in Berlin, she witnesses the collapse of Hitler's plans for the Third Reich. As the Russian army takes the city, the dissipation, horrific beliefs, and merciless logic of Hitler's philosophy and followers becomes ever more apparent and visceral.

Just brilliant! Many have tried to film the last days of Hitler and ended up with a documentary. This production turned out to be a cinematic experience and a gripping account of a crumbing superman without trying to be judgmental. That's where it succeeds as a creative work.

a truly magnificent film. Who would have believed this type of film about the end of WW2 and hitlers demise would be made by Germany....the acting is 4 stars all around, the story is never too fast or too slow and completely draws you in more and more as the end gets closer..the lives of the civilians, soldiers, leaders, assistants,...all being a part of the feel of the film, with individual stories, and stories of those waking up to what is happening and what HAD happened....this is , for me, THE BEST WW2 movie I have ever seen and there is very little so called WAR in it...its a human story, it makes you think of how on earth these people must have felt, and yes, even Hitler himself gets a small bit of compassion from viewers.
Amazing and thoughtful film that I am sure anyone who has interest in this time will enjoy this for what it is, and how it makes you feel.

This film is simply excellent. Eloquently captures the fall of Hitler's and National Socialism.
The acting was superb.

Surprisingly good description of the probable final days of Hitler's regime; the major characters are given perusal and the disintegration of the madman, Hitler.

Good movie about the last days the war inside Hitlers bunker. All the top brass were there, some with their children. Scenes range from before Hitler's death to the chaos that ensued after.

Very good depiction of the final days of Hitler's power. It helps explain the motivations of the inner circle; from the uber-Nazis who share Hitler's deluded world-vision and twisted perception of reality (ie Goebbels), to the opportunists (ie Goering), to the career soldiers who just follow orders. The protagonist (Hitler's secretary) falls into the category of naive opportunist who is torn between the two sides to Der Fuhrer: the kindly thoughtful boss and the hateful raving lunatic.

The last days of Adolf Hitler’s world in all its madness.

Incredibly good. Draws you in, and very insightful into those days - the characters involved, the pure inhumanity. Well acted and good story. Plus it's history - some things I didn't know before. Yes it is long, but probably needed for the story it was telling.
