This book is only helpful if you have no idea at all how a guitar works. This book is a waste of your time if you either (a) know a few chords on a guitar, (b) know someone who plays guitar, or (c), have a guitar and occasionally play on it, even if you don't know anything about music. If, like me, you get annoyed by pictures of people with really long fingernails playing instruments, this book is not for you. I really wouldn't recommend it.
