A lovely book with beautiful illustrations and a delightful story. It is well written and has a nice flow when red out loud. A little bit long for the 3 year olds but great for 5 and over.

An absolutely beautiful looking book with a clever story that has other stories imbedded within it. How did the skunk get his stripe, how come bears sleep all winter, and it goes on. I read it to my 5 and 7 year old with equal delight from both, and would recommend it up to age 9. I can tell this will be a classic in my home, and will be enjoyed many times.
