The colourful pictures and the interesting information made me like this book.

Well, this book was my favourite of all the non-fiction books I've read. Although the storyline is similar in each of the stories (royal murder way back when, lots of beautiful and decietful queens, plenty of murderous kings, and many more murderers with some sort of point to make), the peolple all have some "special" way of killing others, which shows just how horrible people can be. But as gruesome as this sounds, it's pretty good. I especially enjoyed the story about the Romanovs, and how Anastasia was said to be alive, but no one could really be sure. Or how Rasputen just couldn't be killed. It's strange... and I hope it'll be the Red Maple non-fiction winner of 2009.

This was my favourite book for non-fiction. I think the author could've made the book shorter. It used the same format but that was okay in this book because all the title pages were different and all the information boxes had something to do with what royal person was being talked about in that chapter.
