I wish this book had been available for my children and grandchildren. It is the best summary of the subject that I have seen. Plus the illustrations are clever and add greatly to understanding the text.

A humourous and thorough history of scientific disciplines. Mr. Bryson's intelligent and witty style make this a great read for science buffs. Love this book!
