The Police were a "New Wave" British rock band who emerged onto the ever-changing music scene in 1978. This band is given credit as being the ones who were at the very forefront of the 2nd "British Invasion" that took place in pop music history.
Headed by (vocalist/guitarist/songwriter) Gordon Sumner (aka. "Sting") - The Police's musical style was a pleasant mix of such familiar genres as rock, jazz, worldbeat, and reggae (to name but a few).
6-time Grammy-award winners - The Police (at the height of their popularity) were one of the world's top-grossing recording artists of all-time, selling over 75 million copies of their records all across the planet.
This "Classics" CD contains 14 tracks in all which were recorded by the Police in the years from 1978-1986. Two of my favourite tunes are - "Every Breath You Take" and "Message In A Bottle".
