I really enjoyed this action based book. It took be less than 3 days to finish. The story is interesting and the characters are developed and deep. I would recommend this easy read to those who want a quick and adventurous book.

This book started a little slow for me but I stayed the course and by the end, I really enjoyed this book. I will now read book 2 ‘Blood Ninja II – The Revenge of Lord Oda’ and book 3 ‘Blood Ninja III – The Betrayal of the Living.’ Another series I recommend to my contemporaries is the awesome Young Samurai series by Chris Bradford which starts with ‘The Way of the Warrior.’ I have now read this eight-book series several times. Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.

Awesome!
But that is to be expected. You can't go wrong with ninjas.
And with the addition of vampires- it made it epic, truly epic.

It was inevitable that someone would have the bright idea of combining ninjas and vampires into one action-packed adventure (with the promise of a sequel at the end), but with this element of the supernatural, can it still be called historical fiction?

Taro and Hiro are best friends in a fishing village in 16th Century Japan. When Taro's father is assassinated and he is run through with a sword, his only escape is through the energizing bite of a vampire-ninja whose action saves his life, but makes him into a blood-hungry vampire as well.

Lots of action and gore, some light romance, a boy with a destiny, and oh yes, vampires, makes this an unlikely, but entertaining read.
