The remake was a very good film and this is somewhat better. The plot is very good based on the now classic genre of: the tangled tale of contemporary researchers trying to solve a deep dark mystery (usually a crime) and (usually) from the past (Possession, The Real Jack the Ripper, etc come to mind but also films like 3rd Man, or Pelican Brief). Well done as it is, the film relies on the Girl for its unique impact and Noomi Rapace delivers on it.

Suspenseful, ugly, story line(s) with an awe inspiring heroine.

Definitely better than the American remake.

Love this film. It was different from anything I had ever seen. Noomi Rapace was amazing. Didn't like or see the purpose of the English re-make.

An interseting story about a troubled women and a journalist whose relationship is not quite fully explained in the movie. The first movie of the series is the best with each subsequent movies each worse.

There was room for improvement in this one, but the original is worth seeing. By the end of the series, the room for improvement is enough to allow for an army of improvements. But you can see why it is someone thought to engage in a re-do.

The best of the movies in this Swedish trilogy. Lisbeth Salander is a troubled young woman, a victim of abuse. Lisbeth is a skilled hacker and becomes the assistant of journalist Mickael Blomkvist to solve the mystery of a young woman who disappeared. Well done thriller. Contains graphic scenes and violence.
