The concluding volume of the series packs a LOT of action and events. But there's no need to backtrack to other volumes to keep up with clues and information, the mystery is conveniently explained by Atom near the middle of the book. The rest of the book is robot battles, philosophical themes, tragedy, redemption, etc all presented a la classic Tezuka formula. I do wish certain characters were fleshed out more, like the ominous teddy bear or the jailed killer robot. Maybe even an explanation of Abullah's cockroach army. They also *really* drilled the anti-war theme, to the point where it was slightly overkill, but nonetheless necessary to explain the character motives.
Overall this was a satisfying ending, wrapping everything up with a nice bow. This is hands down my favorite manga series.
