When Phoebe's mom returns from Greece with a new husband and plans to move to an island in the Aegean Sea, Phoebe's well-plotted senior year becomes ancient history. Now, instead of enjoying a triumphant track season and planning for college with her best friends, Phoebe is trying to keep her head above water at the berexclusive Academy. If it isn't hard enough being the new kid in school, Phoebe's classmates are all descendents of the Greek gods! When you're running against teammates with superpowers, dealing with a stepsister from Hades, and nursing a crush on a boy who is quite literally a god, the drama takes on mythic proportions!

The leading up to the climax is well done however there isn't really a climax--and it just leaves you wondering when something if actually going to happen. Instead of the ending slowly winding down after a climax, it breaks off at a cliff and the fall just summarizes everything. It's a cute story but the ending could've been developed more in story, emotions, outcomes, and it had the potential to be interesting. Also, they barely had any greek mythology or anything that really made you gasp--but it's a good quick read if you're bored. For a note about the romance: it's really well done leading up to the moment they 'finally realize they love each other' and yadda yadda but then towards the end the guy claims that long ago it was foretold they there were destined to be together and at least I thought 'ok that's the cheesiest thing ever' and then the book finishes. I'd give it 2.5 stars?

I love this book!! It has Greek mythology mixed with modern day school life.

I loved this book! How the characters were intertwined with the Greek gods was amazing and I enjoyed that little plot twist at the end! Best book I've read in a while!

This book was lighthearted and a quick read. Great for Percy Jackson lovers.

Loved this book...until the cheesy lovey-dovey stuff. I think that little romance was a bit too mushy to believe. However, the rest of it was great and it's a really cool storyline.

Oh. My. Gods. I love this book! i am a Greek Mythology nut and if you are and you can put up with the romance. definitely worth a read. I don't think it's as good as the Percy Jackson series though and i don't like the cover much but those are the only criticisms i have about it. Go Greek Mythology!!!

I loved this book, especially because it made me laugh, and that itself makes it fantabulous!!
