This book is beautiful in so many ways. The word choice and the way it makes you think are so intriguing. This is my favorite book of all time and will suggest it to anyone who will listen. It holds your attention the entire way through, adding plot twists along the way which add to the excitement. :)

Ignore the cover! This book is intelligent, exciting, and well written. Briony is a fabulous character who feels she deserves to die. The book is a series of flashbacks as she remembers how she came to be waiting to be hanged. Deserving of its place on several "best of" lists.
