B+ DVD

Good portrayal by Anthony Mackie and Kerry Washington of post Black Panther Party several years after the party was disbanded. Complex emotions intertwined with suspense and life-threatening dangers.

The interviews on the DVD with Bobby Seale and Jamal Joseph give a truer portrait of the Panthers than most Americans know. They were actually similar to Occupy Wall Street in many ways. This is why the government's shadier agencies were out to destroy them.
