PI Cate Kinkaid gives in to the frantic plea for help from a middle-aged woman, Jo-JO, who calls for help after discovering a triple homicide -- the triple homicide of her three precious handmade, life-size dolls. When the police arrive the body of Jo-Jo's ex-husband is discovered in her house, and Jo-Jo becomes the prime suspect. Jo-Jo's ex is the owner of a vineyard and the most expensive restaurant in town, as well as Lodge Hill, a favorite destination for a wedding business. Once Cate gets duped into being a bridesmaid at a wedding to be held at Lodge Hill, she agrees knowing it will put her in a perfect position to check out possible suspects. She is assisted in her exploits by her darling boyfriend, Mitch, and her deaf cat, who seems to have a sixth sense for clues. Numerous suspects abound; the new trophy wife, her ex-husband, her mystic inspired mother, and several employees. When another body is discovered, Cate's sleuthing kicks into high gear. The wedding 'I Do's' and the killer's 'I Did It' are quite the event and Cate puts her investigative abilities to the test.
