This is well done - essential information, accessible and interesting . WATCH THIS FILM!! and then tell your friends to watch. Then get some hives going in your backyard. If you like to eat food as we know it, you want to know what's going on with pollinators. Remember Soylent Green.
...OK, it's a few days later...I feel a little calmer but no less passionate about this documentary & the fact that it's NOT IN THE NEWS. No need to think of soylent g...just think of agribusiness, the FDA and chinese imports.

Laughing at Iowakid's comment below, saying Europe has "enlightened government"...Go live there a few years and try to tell us that!
Anyway, this was a great film. There were some very intelligent people in this who I liked a lot, which is unusual. Many different possible causes are described, and it's important to note that GMO foods are NOT among them. Nor at any point did they try to say bee-stings cure gout, or any other pseudo-science mumbo-jumbo. That's why I liked this film, it went straight to the people who work first-hand with the subject and it stayed scientific. Highly recommended!

Reading the jacket, I thought "surly a 50 minute doc on this subject would have been enough". But I was both alarmed and facinated by the drama and the mystery for the entire 87 minutes !! Highly recommended.

A must-see, especially for children and adults who live in the city, and have little contact with agriculture. Not only wonderful for raising awareness about our dependence on honeybees for our food, but on the issues of pesticides, food safety, environmental responsibility, and the long-term unsustainability of modern mega-farming.

At long last, an inkling of why the bees are disappearing. Now, we only need to have as an enlightened government as Europe to survive, i.e. how can we live without fruit and vegetables?
It only makes sense that the new pesticides are going to have as great an effect on our best pollinators as well as those insects that people deem as pests.
It really makes me want to have a hive.

The best dvd on the plight of honeybees that I've seen yet. At least in terms of the status of the scientific evidence. Not as beautifully aesthetic as other dvds on the same subject, and there is a lot of 'talking heads', but it is a documentary of great importance in our food pollination system and greater ecological balance on this planet.
