A very charming protagonist, and a quiet but wonderful story about literature and home.

A beautiful book about family, love, and loss; and how books can help you understand and speak your own life. I loved Williams' "Four Letters of Love". This is equally as good. An Irish family saga which reads like poetry.

A tribute to writers and readers and stories and families and loss and pain and resilience. A big book.

Longlisted for the 2014 Man Booker Prize
