Neat coming-of-age story. Gabe's mother left him and his father. Gabe's father spiraled into a controlling depression. Gabe lost himself. The only thing he has left is band and the cheerleaders take it away by taking the profit from a soda machine that was supposed to fund band activities. Its wonderful to see how Gabe's grandfather encourages him to find himself and his voice. Highly recommended!
