This book is amazing! A friend used it for her Game of Thrones viewing party, she cooked a feast, everything was super tasty!

This book has a number of interesting recipes. Many of them are offered in two versions, one Medieval and the other Modern. This helps a lot in case one can't find certain ingredients. The recipes are short and to the point, very clearly written and doable even if you are not that experienced a cook. I guess one can get into costume and acquire hand-hammered cookware and do stuff in the fireplace if he desires the truly authentic experience.

There is an "Unofficial" Game of Thrones cookbook in our collection, too, and it's a horribly-written piece with poorly chosen recipies--a piece of trash in comparison to this lavishily photographed book full of fascinating medieval recipies culled from 14th century cookbooks, alongside modern "updates." Fascinating, with many tasty-looking recipes. A real treat for Ice & Fire fans, plus anyone looking to get a feel for real medival cooking.

Nice recipes but I would have preferred to be a bit more authentic with cast iron and copper cookware and bakeware recipes.

GREAT book! It includes authentic medieval recipes and herbs, etc alongside modern recipes. It includes quotes from the series where they mention the exact food before the recipe (WITHOUT SPOILERS!!) I have only read the first two books so far, and was pleasantly surprised that no spoilers were revealed - so have no fear. Heads up though, it's better just to buy this book and keep it in your collection!

A fun cookbook for Game of Thrones fans . Has recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert for all of the regions. Has a classic and modern recipe in most instances.

Now if she would just do the same thing for Downton Abbey
