Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she's starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he's determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she's in danger of falling too deep and too fast. But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob...and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she's forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

I loved it! I enjoyed Brad and Julia's emotional connection becoming stronger as their love grows. A solid couple that are determined to prove they are meant to be together.

Similar to the Stark Trilogy in terms of sexual exploration and what not but it has its own quirks which I appreciate. The first is the character of Julia. I enjoy that she take cares of herself and knows what she wants and is not afraid to speak up. Shes a college undergrad and, compared to Brad, is shown to be a little unreasonable, bit of tantrum thrower, and a little superficial, among other things. But I like that because it makes her seem more real. I would rather have that than a 21-22(?) year old saint with a bleeding heart. That person is probably a hypocrite and long-time grudge holder. The second is the banter between the main couple. They like to pull eachothers leg and are not offended by the slightest of remarks, which is nice to read. The concluding act was a little cheesy and Brads huge emotional revelation was a little unconvincing but no matter, its a nice book for a short, light read.
